Before we go into the three-step process to making the most potent Rick Simpson Hemp Oil Possible, it only makes sense to know what ingredients and tools we’d be needing.
- 1 lb. of dried cannabis
- 1 US gallon (3.8l) of isopropyl alcohol
- 1 large bucket, bowl, and wooden spoon
- Cheesecloth or coffee strainer
- Rice cooker
- syringe
Now that we have our tools and ingredients ready let’s go into our
3 Step RSO Production Process
Preparing Your Cannabis Solvent: When it comes to strains, Rick Simpson recommends using Indica strains because they produce the most effective RSO. Here’s a step by step process on how to prepare your cannabis solvent:
-
pour all the dry cannabis into a large bucket, break larger chunks with your wooden spoon before adding your gallon (3.8l) of isopropyl alcohol.
-
Stir and crush the cannabis in the alcohol until most of it dissolves in the mixture.
- Drain the solvent into another bucket using a cheese cloth or coffee strainer.
- Take the residual cannabis on the cheese cloth, repeat the procedure above 1 one more time until the plant material is completely separated.
- Discard the leftover plant material and pour all the extracted isopropyl alcohol into one large bucket.
Heating Your solvent: This part of the process requires extreme caution. Isopropyl alcohol is flammable and should not be cooked near an open flame or spark. That’s why we’d be using a rice cooker; not only does a rice cooker not require open flame, but we can also regulate the temperature. Here’s how to heat your solvent.
-
Ensure your cooker is in a well-ventilated area, then pour your solvent into the cooker until it’s about three-quarter full.
-
Heat your solvent at 99-110 degrees Celsius. If you heat over 149 degrees, your solution would burn and become useless.
- As your solvent boils, the alcohol would evaporate. Keep checking on it regularly add more alcohol to it when it lowers to about half of the cooker.
- Keep adding alcohol until you’ve added all of the solvents that were left in your bucket.
- Add a few drops of water into the solution to prevent it from overheating.
- Allow the solvent to boil until it develops are dark color with a thick and greasy consistency.
Siphoning and Storing Your Oil: Now your oil is ready. Use a syringe to siphon the oil straight from the cooker.
- Do not transfer the oil from the syringe to another container.
- Use multiple syringes until you’ve siphoned all the oil from the cooker.
- Store your oils in a cool, dry place until you’re ready to use them.
If you follow this process strictly, you should have produced an effective RSO. If you have any questions regarding Rick Simpson Oil for cancer and other illnesses, you can always contact us.
